U.S. Business Council for Sustainable Development Partners with Ohio State for Conference on “Expanding the Circle”
The Ohio State University will host the U.S. Business Council for Sustainable Development (USBCSD) annual summer conference on July 18-19, 2017. This conference is organized in partnership with Ohio State’s Sustainable and Resilient Economy program, with a focus on scaling up the “circular economy”. USBCSD has developed an award-winning cloud-based platform, Materials Marketplace, which facilitates conversion of waste streams into valuable resources through collaborative networks. The theme of the conference is "Expanding the Circle," and participants will explore cutting edge topics such as Smart and Resilient Cities, Human and Natural Systems in a Circular Economy, Cyclical and Resilient Supply Networks, and Digital Platforms for Co-Creation of Value.
